These images are from a series called Secrets I Tell the Trees. This body of work emerged from the isolation and solace found from being surrounded by the trees. The series has become an outlet for releasing my inner thoughts while continuing my ritualistic relationship with nature. I hear these phrases echo through my mind as I work on each piece and while they resonate to me in very personal ways, I hope that others can connect with my secrets too. Each letter is hand cut from pressed leaves and attached to hemp strings before being reintroduced to a natural setting. These photographs are chromogenic & chromira prints created from medium format film images. This series began in 2015 and is an on-going outlet and an unfinished artistic and personal journey.
